Kathlyn Hossack BScKin, CAT (C)

Kathlyn is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Athletic Development specialist that focuses on equestrian athletes. She believes in a big picture approach to all things related to equitation, biomechanics, off horse injury rehabilitation, rider fitness, and performance coaching. Kathlyn knows the power of the mind on our physical abilities, and how our biomechanics impact our horse’s movement. It’s all connected.

Kathlyn works with riders from grassroots/recreational all the way to elite/professional and draws from an extensive education in human health, movement science, and therapeutics to help athletes and clients reach their goals and connect with themselves (and their horses) better.

As a lifetime rider and competitor herself she utilizes her professional training in a unique, rider focused way. Kathlyn’s method has been curated over her own experiences as an athlete- dealing with injuries, ups and downs, chronic pain, mental blocks, time off as well as from her clinical experience as a therapist working daily in trauma sensitive injury and pain rehab.

At BP Sport Horses Kathlyn works alongside Brittany Payjack to help riders enhance and develop truly efficient equitation and when injuries happen she is the go to expert for rehabilitation, bodywork and breathwork to functionally get riders back in action and riding better than before. When she’s not working with other riders, Kathlyn can be found working with her heart horse Odys (shown above)!
